Standard Operating Procedures

Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Working Instructions (WI) are detailed, written instructions which must be followed when performing certain research tasks.

In order to assist research teams in fulfilling their obligations, the JRO has developed a suite of SOPs and Working Instructions (WIs) covering key research activities.

On the linked pages you will find a range of SOPs for investigators and researchers which are written to ensure that studies are conducted and reported in compliance with GCP, regulatory requirements and research governance frameworks.

Research personnel are expected to have read and understood all SOPs and WIs relevant to their project(s).  This must be recorded, ideally on the SOP Reading Log and this document will be reviewed during audit.

Our pharmacy team also maintain a set of SOPs and researchers should contact the pharmacy team directly to request a copy of any pharmacy SOP.
