ANNUAL HEALTH AND SAFETY REPORTS
This is a reminder to all Units. All Units will receive their Annual Health and Safety Reports at the beginning of August 2019. Council now require the University Health and Safety Report, which is based on the Unit and Faculty reports, to be provided earlier. This means that the timescales for Units to complete their report and provide them to the Occupational Health and Safety Service (OHSS) has reduced. As agreed with University Health and Safety Committee all reports will need to be returned to OHSS by 31st August 2019. OHSS will then send the completed reports to the Faculty PVC, Registrar, Executive Director of Academic Affairs and Executive Director of Finance for them to compile their Faculty and Hub reports. The reports provided will then inform the University Annual Report provided to Executive Board and Council.
The annual reporting system is provided in the Health and Safety Management System and is an important part of the ‘Plan, Do, Check, Act’ approach the University uses for managing health and safety. Please ensure that you complete the required reports in a timely way to ensure we are able to provide the report within the timescales required to Executive Board and Council.
ACTIONS REQUIRED: Heads of Units are asked to ensure the completion of reports sent by OHSS within their area of service.
