Anti – Vax/Covid protest march

We have been informed by Northumbria Police that a peaceful Anti – Vax/Covid protest march will be taking place on Saturday 23rd October, starting at Exhibition Park. People will start to congregate in the park from 12 noon and aim to start their march at 1pm.  The route believed to be used (but to be confirmed) to the Baltic Quayside is : Claremount Road; Barras Bridge; Northumberland Street; Blackett Street; Grey Street; Dean Street; The Side; Quayside; Gateshead Millennium Bridge; then onto Baltic Square for speeches.  It is expected that the group will return to Exhibition Park after the speeches, via the same route.

Exact numbers are not known but Police believe it could be in the region of a 1000. There will be a proportionate policing present to help minimise any disruption to businesses, staff or members of the public.
