Title: NUBS Academic Writing Workshop on Structure and Storytelling
Guest Speaker: Tanvi Mehta of Mehta-Text
Dates: 09, 10, 11 and 13 May 2022
Time: 09:00 – 15:00 (break 10:15 – 10:45 & lunch 12:00 – 13:30)
This interactive writing workshop is for any NUBS academic staff interested in improving their writing skills for publishing in academic journals. You will need to bring a laptop and a draft article that you are working on.
There will be a mix of lecture time as well as hands-on application of new concepts.
Learning Outcomes
By the end of the workshop, participants will be able to:
– Write more cohesive papers
– Identify problems of structure and reasoning
– Lead teams of co-authors
– Advance their skill set from subject knowledge experts to critical thinking experts
– Give good, useful and constructive feedback to colleagues and students
– Write more confidently with a toolset in hand
