BA/Leverhulme Small Research Grants Open for 2022

The BA/Leverhulme Small Research Grants are provided by the British Academy and, since January 2012, co-sponsored by the Leverhulme Trust. The grants are available to postdoctoral scholars conducting primary research in the humanities and social sciences.

Applicants may seek support for any combination of the following:

• Initial project planning and development
• To support the direct costs of research
• To enable the advancement of research through workshops or conferences, or visits by or to partner scholars.

Awards are open to postdoctoral scholars (or equivalent) who are ordinarily resident in the United Kingdom.

The maximum grant that can be applied for is £10,000 over two years. Applications will not be considered for less than £500.

Applications should be submitted online by the deadline of 1 June 2022 (5pm UK time).
