Pre-Announcement of Water4All European Partnership First Joint Transnational Call
The European Partnership Water Security for the Planet (Water4All) is one of the new co-funded partnerships under Horizon Europe. This pre-announcement is for the call initially announced in December 2021.
The Call focuses on:
Management of water resources: resilience, adaptation and mitigation to hydroclimatic extreme events and management tools.
Topics included in the Call are as follows:
- Resilience, adaptation and mitigation to hydroclimatic extreme events.
- Tools for water management in the context of hydroclimatic extreme events.
- Improved water governance in the context of hydroclimatic extreme events and international contexts.
To be eligible, research consortia must include teams from a minimum of three countries participating in the Call (including a minimum of two from EU Member States or EU Associated Countries). The upper limit of eligible project partners per consortium is seven (including one self-funded partner, if any).
A global budget of over €30 million has been provisionally reserved for the Call and at this stage, the following countries have agreed to participate:
Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Moldova, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey and United Kingdom.
The Call is expected to launch on 1 September 2022 with an initial call for pre-proposals, which has an indicative deadline for submissions of 31 October 2022. This will be followed by an invitation for successful candidates to submit a full proposal by 20 March 2023.
