Specific responsibilities:
- The associate will be responsible for developing a framework for evaluation of emerging technology feasibility in chemical supply chains and impact on Net Zero.
- The associate will conduct a landscape assessment of existing as well as novel sustainable chemical manufacturing processes.
- The associate will apply knowledge of Life Cycle Analysis (LCA) and Technoeconomic Analysis (TEA) to the evaluation and comparison of chemical manufacturing processes.
- The associate will develop a framework to evaluate and monitor the suppliers
The Requirements
Essential:
Qualifications
- A good first degree in Chemistry or Engineering
- A Masters or PhD in Chemistry, Engineering, or equivalent experience
Experience
- Experience of Life Cycle Assessment Projects
- Demonstrable ability to communicate verbally and written project results to a variety of audiences including non-specialists
- Evidence of ability to write reports and data analytics
Skills
- Fundamental knowledge of chemical production process
- Good understanding of process engineering
- Excellent analytical skills with experience in Life Cycle Assessment
- Understanding or experience of LCA, using software packages
- Ability to develop models for chemical production processes
