NUREN Summer Lecture – Professor Jason Arday, University of Cambridge – 20 June

We are delighted to announce the NUREN summer lecture will be delivered by Professor Jason Arday and we hope you can join us!

The event will be held on Tuesday 20 June at 3.00pm in the Curtis Auditorium, Herschel Building, and will be followed by networking and refreshments.

Jason is Professor of Sociology at the University of Cambridge – and at the age of 37, this appointment makes him the youngest ever Black professor at Cambridge. His research focuses on race, education and social justice. Jason has established himself as a leading scholar in his field, publishing extensively on subjects including the experiences of Black students in universities, the under-representation of ethnically minoritised people in academic careers, and the long-term impacts of racial discrimination in education. Throughout his career, Jason has committed himself to helping under-represented people gain access to opportunities within the sector.

This event is free and open to all, but pre-booking is required – to book your space please complete this form: https://forms.office.com/e/2b9he4zCRc

We hope you will be able to attend what promises to be an engaging and insightful event and join us for networking afterwards.
