Internal Academic Leadership Opportunity: Associate Dean for Good Research Practice
Applications Deadline: 30th June 2024
Time and Duration: 0.3FTE until 31st July 2025 initially
Allowance: £2000k per annum, subject to normal salary deductions
We are looking to appoint an established academic as Associate Dean for Good Research Practice to work alongside our central research teams and our research communities to promote a culture of openness, transparency and rigor across diverse disciplinary contexts. The role is offered on a 0.3FTE basis until 31 July 2025 initially. Backfill to an academic unit can also be provided, as required. Reporting to the Dean for Research Culture and Strategy, you will use your leadership experience and research skills to be an internal champion for good research practice and build external partnerships (including through UKRN) to innovate and bring new practices into the organisation.
This is an exciting opportunity to join the central research culture team, work with highly skilled professional services colleagues leading on relevant projects and initiatives, and work collaboratively across the faculties to build momentum and change. We welcome applications from academic colleagues who want to make a positive impact on how we do research, who have a collaborative approach and are able bring people with them, and who can be a credible and authentic leader and bring their ideas to the role. Applications from colleagues who bring new perspectives to the Research Culture Programme core team and project leads are particularly welcome.
Interested candidates are invited to submit a CV and a covering letter, of no more than 2 sides of A4, setting out how you can evidence the knowledge, skills and experience required for the role. Please click here for further details.
