Early Career Research Fellowships: The Foundations

Are you an early career researcher (ECR) who is working towards submitting an external fellowship application?

The Research Funding Development team has launched a new training course to help you prepare.

This will help ECRs:

  • Decide if a fellowship is right for them
  • Search for fellowship opportunities
  • Understand how to be competitive as an applicant
  • Understand the components of a high-quality fellowship application.

The course is a whole day, 09:30 – 15:30 (lunch provided), with a variety of presentations, interactive tasks, and opportunities to hear from fellowship awardees.

The workshop programme is as follows:

  • What are early career fellowships and how to find them
  • How to prepare for fellowship success
  • Fellowship Assessment, Person, Project, Place
  • Insight from successful early-career fellows
  • Learning from example

All sessions will be held in-person on campus (room to be confirmed). To book your place and to find out more details about the course, please visit the Learning Management System.

Please contact your Faculty Research Funding Development team with any questions (Research Funding Development – Research Funding Development (sharepoint.com)).
