MRC Centres of Research Excellence (CoRE): Internal Process
The MRC has announced the third round of MRC Centres of Research Excellence (CoRE).
The MRC CoREs will support bold and ambitious research focused on a specific and defined challenge with the potential to prove transformative to biomedical research, health research or both. They are large strategic investments for 14 years and up to £21 million for the first 7 years.
MRC CoREs will be beacons of excellence in research culture, equality, diversity, and inclusion, leadership models, and innovation. The CoREs are open to any area within the MRC remit, including discovery, understanding mechanism, and development of concepts or interventions for prevention or treatment.
Newcastle University is restricted to leading one application to the call. Details of the internal selection process are attached with a deadline of the 21st October for applications.
