The RSE team are hosting a Discovery Day next month, and we would be very grateful if you could share the event details with your researchers or anyone who may be interested in attending.

Please find all of the event information included below:

Discover how digital technology can enhance your research

Are you looking for a new angle for your research? Do you need to develop custom software, analyse data, or build a website as part of your research? Could your research be improved by AI or other machine learning techniques? Are you using all the resources the university has to help you?

Newcastle University’s Research Software Engineering team (RSE) is hosting a Discovery Day filled with talks, project showcases, and the opportunity to bring together researchers, RSEs and other professional services staff.

Join us if you are curious about what the RSE team is and what we do, if you want to know more about the range of services that are available to help you develop your research proposal, or if you have an idea that might benefit from a digital angle or custom software development. There will be talks by RSEs, Library Research Services, and the Research Funding Development team, lightning talks about previous projects with RSE involvement from a range of subjects and a catered networking lunch during which you can and talk to us directly about your research ideas.

The event is free. Everyone is welcome but register early to guarantee access to lunch.
