Workshop with The Conversation
Press Office has arranged two sessions with The Conversation, specifically for academics in HaSS. These will take place online via Zoom on Friday 5th November, 10.30am – 12.30pm and Friday 26th November, 2.00pm – 4.00pm . These are stand-alone sessions, so you only need to attend one.
The session will take around two hours and cover –
– Introduction to The Conversation, how it works, how the university’s press office works with them
– What makes a good article on The Conversation
– How to write about your research for a general, non-specialist, non-academic audience
– How to pitch article ideas to The Conversation
The workshop will probably be of greatest benefit to Early Career Researchers and other researchers who haven’t written for The Conversation previously.
So that people get the most from this online session, places are extremely limited and MUST be booked in advance by emailing dawn.tudge@ncl.ac.uk or Lyndsay.short@ncl.ac.uk .
