What’s on this International Women’s Day
International Women’s Day (IWD) is a global holiday celebrated annually on the 8 March. It is about commemorating the cultural, political, and socioeconomic achievements of women as well as raising awareness about discrimination and taking action to drive gender parity.
The theme for IWD this year is ‘Embracing Equity’. Equity means creating an inclusive world and we can all play a part.
You can #EmbraceEquity by:
- sharing the passion and excitement that comes from valuing and supporting difference
- reflecting on how we can all be part of the solution, not the problem
- encouraging your friends, family, colleagues, and community to embrace equity.
Each one of us can actively support and embrace equity within our own sphere. Learn more about embracing equity.
