Celebrating Success – Professor Louise Crawford
Congratulations to Professor Louise Crawford who has been awarded funding from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland (ICAS), with collaborators Dr Eleni Chatzivgeri at University of Edinburgh, and Prof Rania Kamla and Dr Qi Li at Heriot-Watt University. The project Understanding the intersections between women-specific health and wellbeing needs on recruitment, progression and retention of women accountants in the accounting profession will explore policies and practices in place in the accounting profession and the experiences of women accountants in the context of the 3Ms (Menstruation, Miscarriage, and Menopause). It is anticipated the research-based evidence generated will inform the development of effective women-specific health and wellbeing practices relevant to the accountancy profession and women in the workforce generally, and contribute to ICAS’s strategic ambition of Shaping the Profession of the Future.
