Participatory Research Funding 2025/26
The Faculty has a budget of £50,000 to support participatory research projects in the 2025/26 academic year. Colleagues are invited to submit applications up to £10,000 using the brief Funding Request Form.
We have seen a high level of interest from colleagues in this call, and demand for funds will likely far exceed the amount available. To ensure that the applications submitted by the School are of as high a quality as possible, we have developed an internal process to manage applications.
Applicants will need to engage with the research team (nubs.research@ncl.ac.uk) no later than Friday 21st November, in order to review costings. Applicants are also required to engage with their R&I/RS&I Lead in their subject group to discuss their application. Applications, along with confirmation that the R&I/RS&I Lead is happy for the application to be submitted, should be sent to the research team by Tuesday 25th November, 12 noon. The research team will collate applications, and send to the Associate Dean Research and Dean for their review and signature. The research team will then submit all applications to Faculty on the applicant’s behalf.
