Opportunity to observe university research funding panel (NERC)

n order to help you understand how research funding selection panels work, we’d like to invite motivated colleagues at the relevant application stage, to observe our existing NERC Application Support Panel (as explained in our ​​​NERC Pushing the Frontiers guidance​​​).  The next one is 5th May, 2-4pm (in-person) and there will be opportunities after that, dates to be confirmed.

To get the most out of this, you should be committed to applying for a NERC Pushing the Frontiers grant within the next couple of years.

If you are interested in this opportunity, please express your interest here: I’d like to join the NERC Mock Panel Observer Pool. Please complete the survey by Monday 20th April. We will then try to match observers with either the upcoming NERC panel meeting in May, or future NERC panel meetings.

This opportunity is currently applicable to NERC Pushing the Frontiers.  Similar opportunities may be extended to other schemes in the future.
