These will take place online via Zoom on <strong>Friday 5<sup>th<\/sup> November, 10.30am \u2013 12.30pm and Friday 26<sup>th<\/sup> November, 2.00pm \u2013 4.00pm <\/strong>. These are stand-alone sessions, so you only need to attend one.<\/p>\n<p>The session will take around <strong>two hours<\/strong> and cover \u2013<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Introduction to The Conversation, how it works, how the university\u2019s press office works with them<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; What makes a good article on The Conversation<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; How to write about your research for a general, non-specialist, non-academic audience<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; How to pitch article ideas to The Conversation<\/p>\n<p>The workshop will probably be of greatest benefit to Early Career Researchers and other researchers who haven\u2019t written for The Conversation previously.<\/p>\n<p>So that people get the most from this online session, <strong><u>places are extremely limited and MUST be booked in advance<\/u><\/strong> by emailing <a href=\"mailto:dawn.tudge@ncl.ac.uk\">dawn.tudge@ncl.ac.uk<\/a> or <a href=\"mailto:Lyndsay.short@ncl.ac.uk\">Lyndsay.short@ncl.ac.uk<\/a> .<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Press Office has arranged two sessions with The Conversation, specifically for academics in HaSS.
