The Knowledge Exchange Unit at UK Parliament is due to open a new call for their Parliamentary Academic Fellowships Scheme on 31st January. The Scheme gives university-based researchers the opportunity to participate in a fellowship project with an office in Parliament for up to a year.<\/p>\n
This will be a\u00a0Directed Call, with UK Parliament seeking academic input for 12 pre-determined projects. Details of the projects are due to be published here:\u00a0POST’s Parliamentary Academic Fellowship Scheme – Directed Call – UK Parliament<\/a>\u00a0The nature and time commitment of each fellowship will vary depending on the project, but those running the scheme have indicated that there\u00a0is plenty of flexibility built into the fellowship to allow part time and\/or remote working, with only\u00a0a few trips to London required. Applicants should expect to hear the outcome of their application and, if successful, be invited to interview in April 2022.\u00a0Depending on timelines for security clearance, fellowships may begin from June 2022. Instead, we will run our own light-touch internal funding scheme for HaSS staff to cover costs such as\u00a0travel, subsistence, accommodation, and, where appropriate, teaching cover, time,\u00a0and any other associated expenses.
