The Centre for Latin American and Caribbean Studies at Newcastle University brings together many academics across the institution whose work relates to the region. From rural economists to language and culture specialists, sociologists to literary critics and development experts, the Centre connects teachers and researchers from a wide array of disciplines and across the university faculties with the aim of exploring the connections between our work.<\/p>\n
The Centre provides a space for discussion, collaboration and exchange with the potential to develop joint funding bids, teaching projects and to expand partnerships with colleagues and students further afield, especially in Latin America and the Caribbean. Our members\u2019 work is showcased through events and podcasts, where we also invite guest speakers from around the world.<\/p>\n
