The grants are available to postdoctoral scholars conducting primary research in the humanities and social sciences.<\/p>\n<p>Applicants may seek support for any combination of the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Initial project planning and development<\/li>\n<li>To support the direct costs of research<\/li>\n<li>To enable the advancement of research through workshops or conferences, or visits by or to partner scholars.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Awards are open to postdoctoral scholars (or equivalent) who are ordinarily resident in the United Kingdom.<\/p>\n<p>The maximum grant that can be applied for is \u00a310,000 over two years.
