\nProfessor Lisa Anderson & Professor Claire Mallanaphy, University of Liverpool Management School
\nAuthors of Education-Focused Career Tracks \u2013 BAM White Paper 2020<\/p>\n

Professor Lisa Anderson is Professor of Management Development at the University of Liverpool Management School and Interim Associate Pro-Vice-Chancellor in the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences. Lisa was formerly Vice Chair of MKE.<\/p>\n

Lisa has worked at Liverpool since 2005 holding various roles including Associate Dean Postgraduate in the Management School and Director of Online Programmes. She has a wide range of teaching experience covering all levels and modes and has designed and launched a number of new programmes.
\nLisa\u2019s research, teaching, engagement with practice and leadership within and outside the university all aim to improve management practice and develop the management profession. She has a particular interest in action learning and has written about it in the context of the experiences of owner-managers in SMEs and senior managers studying for a professional doctorate. Lisa\u2019s co-edited book ‘A Guide to Professional Doctorates in Business and Management’ was nominated for the CMI’s Management Book of the Year.<\/p>\n

Professor Claire Mallanaphy is Associate Dean Undergraduate at the University of Liverpool Management School. Following a period as Associate Head for the Economics, Finance and Accounting department, Claire became Director of Student Experience of ULMS and then more recently Associate Dean Undergraduate.<\/p>\n

Prior to joining higher education, Claire qualified as an ICAEW Chartered Accountant and has significant industry experience in the Financial Reporting discipline.
\nOutside of ULMS, Claire holds senior quality assurance roles with professional accounting bodies. She is a member of the BAM Management Knowledge and Education committee and also a member of the ICAEW Academia and Education Community Group.<\/p>\n

Claire\u2019s research interests lie in the student experience taking a special interest in UG employability, and also the concept of belonging in Higher Education. She is especially interested in the career tracks of \u2018Teaching and Scholarship\u2019 or \u2018Education Focused\u2019 colleagues. She has co-authored a White Paper on Education-Focused Career Tracks in UK Business and Management Schools and has presented at numerous conferences on this matter.<\/p>\n
