Our GPA (Grade Point Average), which assesses research quality, has risen to 3.06 from 2.72 in REF2014. This represents <strong>a 127% increase in research power <\/strong>\u2013 a measure of research capacity &#8211; since REF2014.<\/p>\n<p>We have improved our performance across all areas:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>80% (59% REF2014) of our outputs were assessed as world-leading (4*) or internationally excellent (3*)<\/li>\n<li>72% (54% REF2014) of our impact case studies were rated as having outstanding (4*) or very considerable (3*) impacts in terms of their reach and significance<\/li>\n<li>100% of our environment statement (50% REF2014) was judged conducive to producing research of world-leading and internationally excellent quality<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/microsites.ncl.ac.uk\/nubsstaffblog\/files\/2022\/05\/REF2021-data-for-email.pdf\">Download the full details with comparison data from REF2014.<\/a>\u00a0(PDF: 236 KB)<\/p>\n<p>This success represents a huge collective achievement which reflects well on the school as a whole.
