The UK Seafood Fund: Infrastructure Scheme has been set up to fund projects that build capability across the UK seafood sector supply chain.<\/p>\n
Grants are available through a competitive process. Up to \u00a365 million in grant funding is available. Each successful applicant will be awarded a minimum of \u00a3250,000 and maximum of \u00a35 million.<\/p>\n
The scheme will fund projects that will improve:<\/p>\n
Designated landing sites and ports, to allow a greater proportion of the UK fleet to land produce.
\nProcessing and aquaculture systems and facilities.
\nThe use of renewable energy.
\nThe social and economic welfare of coastal communities.
\nApplicants can apply for funding if they are involved in fishing, processing or aquaculture and are:<\/p>\n
A public body (including trust ports, local authority ports and public charities).
\nA private small to medium-sized enterprise (SME).
\nA private non-SME.
\nA fisherman’s association.
\nA private trust and foundation.
\nA trade association.
\nAn officially recognised producer organisation.
