There are 4 specialist advisers available to offer support with Housing, Finance, Academic Issues and Mental Health referrals. More details on the type of advice they provide as well as FAQs can be found <a href=\"https:\/\/nusu.co.uk\/support\/advice-centre\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The Student Advice Centre is independent from the University, which means they can offer fully impartial, professional advice. They aim to support you in finding the best steps you need to take in tackling the issue at hand. They also follow a strict confidentiality policy, so you can be open and honest during your appointment. Appointments are offered either face-to-face or via Microsoft Teams and can be booked through an <a href=\"https:\/\/form.jotform.com\/201984142287055\">online booking form<\/a>. Advisers are available both during term time and the vacation period, except bank holidays.<\/p>\n<p>The SAC\u2019s opening times are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Monday \u2013 10am to 4pm<\/li>\n<li>Tuesday \u2013 10am to 4pm<\/li>\n<li>Wednesday \u2013 12am to 4pm<\/li>\n<li>Thursday \u2013 10am to 4pm<\/li>\n<li>Friday \u2013 10am to 4pm<\/li>\n<li>Weekend \u2013 Closed<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Wellbeing Support for Business School Students<\/h3>\n<p>The Business School has dedicated health and wellbeing support for our students:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Counselling &#8211; to arrange an assessment, please contact <a href=\"mailto:sws.therapyappointments@ncl.ac.uk\">sws.therapyappointments@ncl.ac.uk<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Disability Support (including Mental Health, long term Physical Health conditions, Specialist Learning) Please contact <a href=\"mailto:disabilityadvisor@ncl.ac.uk\">disabilityadvisor@ncl.ac.uk<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Welfare Support \u2013 <a href=\"mailto:wellbeingconsultancy@ncl.ac.uk\">wellbeingconsultancy@ncl.ac.uk<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Other Sources of Support:\u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0Our Student and Staff Wellbeing Service work with local and national organisations to support you and help you maximise your academic potential and gain the most from your time here at Newcastle.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Student Support Plans<\/strong>: If you disclose a long-term mental health condition, supported by recent medical evidence, you may be able to access reasonable adjustments and support to help you engage in your studies.
