Newcastle University is supporting any colleague involved or interested in External Examining <\/b>to undertake the Advance HE Professional Development Course<\/b>.<\/p>\n
The course will lead to recognition from Advance HE<\/strong> and will consider the role of the External Examiner in the UK Quality Code for Higher Education.<\/a><\/b><\/p>\n The training will run over two months and is aimed at academic and professional service colleagues who have or are hoping to have a role that includes External Examining either in this institution or in other HEIs in England, Scotland, Wales, Ireland or Internationally.<\/p>\n It will support you to:<\/p>\n Participation in the course can be used as evidence towards gaining (Senior or Principal) Fellowship of the HEA.<\/p>\n Not only is it a professional development course <\/b>but on completion it can be used in evidence for promotion<\/b>, and you\u2019ll be listed on the Advance HE\u2019s External Examiners Directory <\/b>website<\/a><\/b> to make it easier for HEIs to find suitable examiners.<\/p>\n The course begins on Wednesday 25th January 2023.
