As the increasing use of new artificial intelligence (AI) and digital technologies<em>\u00a0<\/em>broadens and deepens across a whole range of human activities, this workshop will focus on what is taking place\u2014and what might take place in the future&#8211;in the areas of management, organizational innovation, work, employment relations and other aspects of business (e.g. accounting, economics, finance, HR, marketing, OB, operations or information systems management etc.).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Format and Objectives<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The event will be informal, in-person and participative. Participants are invited to consider preparing (and to submit a summary in advance) of up to10-minute presentation, summarising their own research findings and\/or what they see as the most important emerging research issues. Making a presentation is not a condition of taking part in the workshop, and a variety of forms of participation is encouraged.<\/p>\n<p>Through a discussion based on the presentations, it is hoped to achieve the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>a greater general awareness of research already being undertaken in the Business School (across all groups) and elsewhere<\/li>\n<li>the identification of possible future research agendas and collaborations that may be international and\/or interdisciplinary<\/li>\n<li>a consideration of initiating a new approach in the school to foster research and conversations in this area<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Immediately after the workshop, we may adjourn to an external venue to continue the conversations and to have an optional opportunity for informal networking.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Participation<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Members of all subject groups in the Business School are encouraged to join the event. It is open to staff and PGRs. All those interested\u2014whether wishing to present or not\u2014are asked to contact us please with a quick expression of interest in participating and if so if you would wish to make a short presentation, providing a title. Any suggestions would also be welcome.
