There has been a recent significant increase in demand on the Faculty’s Bid Preparation Fund.\u00a0 Whilst this is of course excellent that colleagues are submitting external applications, we want to be able to support as many colleagues as possible through this funding and ensure that we do not run out of money half way through the year.<\/p>\n
We have reviewed the guidelines for this internal scheme in line with standard funding calls and have changed the financial bands within which the standard and large award funding is available.\u00a0 External applications must now be for a value of over \u00a3250,000 to access the (up to) \u00a35k funding and over \u00a31.5m to access the (up to) \u00a310k funding.\u00a0 We have made a few other minor tweaks, including the requirement to develop applications, for both the Bid Preparation funding as well as the external application, with the funding development team and to exclude costs for non-Newcastle University colleagues, except in exceptional circumstances (such as collaboration with third sector organisations).<\/p>\n
