All career stages of staff are encouraged to apply for funding, whether early-career, mid-career or established academic colleagues, however please note that the likely significance of an award to the career development of the applicant is a factor in the assessment.\u00a0 Applications are welcomed for both work leading to an application for external funding (the Faculty&#8217;s Bid Preparation Fund should be used where the application will exceed \u00a3250k) and funding to generate a significant output. Demand for this fund is extremely high, no more so than in the last round when only one in six applications was successful, and school support is an important factor when reviewing applications.<\/p>\n<p>Full guidance and application forms are available <a href=\"https:\/\/newcastle.sharepoint.com\/hub\/hss\/Pages\/research_internalfunding_frf.aspx\">here<\/a>. Applications should be submitted to <a href=\"mailto:nubs.research@ncl.ac.uk\">nubs.research@ncl.ac.uk<\/a> by 17:00 on Monday 6<sup>th<\/sup> November.
