NEW AHRC Global Strategy Framework Survey<\/a> <\/strong>AHRC are developing their international strategy and are seeking input from key stakeholders through the Global Strategy Framework Survey 2024.\u00a0 This is an opportunity to inform future calls and hear about current international activities. NEW <\/strong>MSCA4Ukraine Re-launch<\/a> Webinar and Info Day (Friday 14th<\/sup> June 13:00-15:00) <\/strong>With a recent top up ofEUR 10 million from the European Commission<\/a><\/strong>, the MSCA4Ukraine initiative will support additional researchers displaced from Ukraine. The second call for applications is expected to be published in June 2024. The European Commission is hosting a relaunch events and Information Day in support of the MSCA4Ukraine initiative.       1. NEW<\/strong> European Collaborative Cloud for Cultural Heritage Information Day 2024 (Friday 14th<\/sup> June 09:00)<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        The European Commission will hold the European Collaborative Cloud for Cultural Heritage (ECCCH) information event to support stakeholders interested in the Horizon Europe\u00a0Cluster 2 call for proposals 2024<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0dedicated to this new EU initiative. The agenda includes information presentations about the ECCCH call topics and a question and answer session with European Commission officials via Slido. NEW <\/strong>Online Horizon Europe Health – Introduction and Overview (Tuesday 18 June 12-13:30): <\/strong>The aims of this cluster include improving and protecting the health and well-being of citizens of all ages by generating new knowledge, developing innovative solutions and\u00a0integrating\u00a0where relevant\u00a0a gender perspective to prevent, diagnose, monitor, treat and cure diseases.             1. Fortnightly Online Horizon Europe Drop-In Session<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

              Horizon Europe\u00a0<\/a>is the EU\u2019s key funding programme for research and innovation with a\u00a0budget of \u20ac95.5 billion. UK organisations can participate in Horizon Europe calls for proposals on the same terms as institutions from other Associated Countries, including leading consortia. Please join the drop-in sessions with the EU & International Research Funding Development team via Zoom to discuss any Horizon Europe questions you may have. This could be on a specific upcoming call or a general enquiry about opportunities to engage with the programme. The Zoom sessions will take place on a fortnightly<\/em> basis each Friday 12:00-13:00, next on<\/strong> Friday 14th 2024<\/strong>.               1. INTERNAL SUPPORT: <\/strong>MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships:<\/strong> https:\/\/marie-sklodowska-curie-actions.ec.europa.eu\/actions\/postdoctoral-fellowships<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

                The aim of MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships are to enhance the creative and innovative potential of postdoctoral researchers with new skillsets acquired through advanced training as well as international, interdisciplinary, and intersectoral mobility. MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships support researchers with a doctoral degree and a maximum of 8 years of post-graduate experience. The mobility of researchers is a key requirement in all MSCA schemes. There are 2 types of MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships. The\u00a0European Postdoctoral Fellowships<\/em>\u00a0support a stay of up to 24 months in any European host institution. The\u00a0Global Postdoctoral Fellowships<\/em>\u00a0include an \u201coutgoing phase\u201d of 12 to 24 months to a host institution in a non-European country, followed by a mandatory \u201creturn phase\u201d of 12 months at a host institution based in an EU Member State or a\u00a0Horizon Europe<\/em>\u00a0Associated Country. The call is now open and is scheduled to close on 11 September 2024<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

                We strongly encourage you to reach out to potential strong overseas postdoctoral level candidates<\/u><\/strong> in your networks about the possibility to be hosted at Newcastle University. The Research Funding Development team will provide support to the candidate in developing their application.                 1. INTERNAL SUPPORT: <\/strong>ERC Advanced Grants 2024:<\/strong> https:\/\/erc.europa.eu\/apply-grant\/advanced-grant<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

                  Advanced Grants provide support for established, leading principal investigators who want long-term funding to pursue a ground-breaking, high risk project. Advanced Grants may be awarded up to \u20ac2.5M for a period of 5 years, with an additional \u20ac 1 million available to cover eligible \u201cstart-up\u201d costs and\/or the purchase of major equipment, access to large facilities or other major experimental and field work costs. The call is opening 29 May 2024 with submission deadline 29 August 2024<\/strong>.                   1. Innovative Health Initiative draft topics text: <\/strong>https:\/\/www.ihi.europa.eu\/apply-funding\/future-opportunities<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

                    The Innovative Health Initiative European Partnership has published\u00a0draft topic texts<\/a>\u00a0for its next call for proposals, which is planned to be launched in a few months. The detailed draft topic texts are shared to give potential applicants additional time to build consortia and draft proposals. All information is indicative and subject to change.
