{"id":16699,"date":"2024-07-02T15:59:31","date_gmt":"2024-07-02T14:59:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/microsites.ncl.ac.uk\/nubsstaffblog\/?p=16699"},"modified":"2024-07-02T15:59:31","modified_gmt":"2024-07-02T14:59:31","slug":"early-career-research-fellowships-the-foundations","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/microsites.ncl.ac.uk\/nubsstaffblog\/2024\/07\/02\/early-career-research-fellowships-the-foundations\/","title":{"rendered":"Early Career Research Fellowships: The Foundations"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Are you an early career researcher (ECR) who is working towards submitting an external fellowship application?<\/p>\n<p>The Research Funding Development team has launched a new training course to help you prepare.<\/p>\n<p>This will help ECRs:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Decide if a fellowship is right for them<\/li>\n<li>Search for fellowship opportunities<\/li>\n<li>Understand how to be competitive as an applicant<\/li>\n<li>Understand the components of a high-quality fellowship application.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The course is a whole day, 09:30 \u2013 15:30 (lunch provided), with a variety of presentations, interactive tasks, and opportunities to hear from fellowship awardees.<\/p>\n<p>The workshop programme is as follows:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>What are early career fellowships and how to find them<\/li>\n<li>How to prepare for fellowship success<\/li>\n<li>Fellowship Assessment, Person, Project, Place<\/li>\n<li>Insight from successful early-career fellows<\/li>\n<li>Learning from example<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>All sessions will be held in-person on campus (room to be confirmed).
