Award holders will also need to follow all university financial procedures in place at the time of award, including seeking approval for travel, as outlined on the <u><span style=\"color: black\"><a href=\"https:\/\/newcastle.sharepoint.com\/projects\/university-finances\/Pages\/default.aspx\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Calibri',sans-serif\">University Finances page<\/span><\/a><\/span><\/u>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'Derailed',sans-serif\">The deadline for applications is <b>16<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0January 2025, 12pm<\/b>\u00a0to <a href=\"mailto:nubs.research@ncl.ac.uk\">nubs.research@ncl.ac.uk<\/a>. You are encouraged to apply for this deadline, but should there be remaining funds, a further call will be issued with a deadline of 13<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0February 2025, 12pm. <b>All spend MUST be processed prior to 30<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0June 2025.<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'Derailed',sans-serif\">Demand for these funds is expected to be high, so applicants will need to ensure their application is costed accurately well in advance of submission. In order to process applications quickly and efficiently, all applicants <b>MUST<\/b>\u00a0contact the research team at <a href=\"mailto:nubs.research@ncl.ac.uk\">nubs.research@ncl.ac.uk<\/a> at least 72 hours prior to the deadline to obtain or check their costings, even if costs appear to be straightforward.
