This is a fantastic opportunity for those with an interest in the responsible use of research metrics to join a dynamic group that has previously been composed solely of professional service members. As this crucial workstream continues to develop we\u2019re keen to get the input of the academic research community on something that has direct impact on how your work is evaluated.<\/p>\n<p><strong>About the SIG:<\/strong>\u202fThe Responsible Metrics SIG provides a platform for colleagues to connect, share information and good practices, and create a transparent and supportive structure. This group is beneficial for both those working within the specialism and those looking to increase their knowledge.<\/p>\n<p>Meeting Details:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Frequency:\u202fEvery two months<\/li>\n<li>Duration:\u202f1 hour<\/li>\n<li>Platform:\u202fMicrosoft Teams<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Our Objective:<\/strong>\u202fResearch assessment at our University occurs at various levels, from Faculty to individual researchers and outputs. The Responsible Metrics SIG aims to identify and promote best practices for responsible research assessment and the use of quantitative indicators. We strive to use fair and transparent mechanisms for monitoring and reporting.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Reporting and Progress:<\/strong>\u202fThe SIG will regularly report its progress to the Associate Dean of Good Research Practice. Research Integrity has recently become the sixth top priority project of the Research Culture Development programme.
