1. NEW:<\/b>\u00a0European Commission draft proposal for FP10 (successor to Horizon Europe) leaked<\/b>:\u00a0https:\/\/sciencebusiness.net\/news\/planning-fp10\/commission-draft-proposal-fp10-leaked<\/a><\/p>\n

The next Framework Programme for research and innovation will adopt a new four-pillar structure but some of its components \u2013 collaborative research in particular \u2013 will be strategically aligned with the European Competitiveness Fund. The research\u00a0community is cautiously positive<\/a>\u00a0as\u00a0associated countries weigh it up<\/a>.<\/p>\n

ERC are publishing a new set of \u2018classes\u2019 videos on their YouTube channel, one expected every day over the next week. These videos explain all about ERC grants including advice on applying.<\/p>\n

4.\u00a0NEW:<\/b>\u00a0British Council<\/b>\u00a0call for ISPF reviewers and panel members:\u00a0https:\/\/opportunities-insight.britishcouncil.org\/short-articles\/opportunities\/call-ispf-reviewers-and-panel-members<\/a><\/b><\/p>\n

The British Council is inviting expressions of interest from\u00a0early-career to senior-career researchers\u00a0to act as reviewers and panel members for proposals submitted under the International Science Partnerships Fund (ISPF). Reviewers and panel members are required to be researchers in academic positions. As a reviewer or panel member, you will receive in-depth knowledge of our processes, including a deeper understanding of the UK\u2019s Official Development Assistance (ODA) and the importance of inclusive research practices, which can further develop your reviewing and proposal writing skills. Being part of the decision-making process will also give you a broad view of the novel ideas coming through the funding pipeline. Deadline\u00a023 July 2025<\/b>.<\/p>\n

UKRI \u2013 Innovate is hosting an introduction to Horizon Europe Webinar. Horizon Europe offers opportunities in almost every sector, with many, but not all, being for collaborative projects involving organisations across Europe and beyond. This one-hour webinar is purposefully designed to help those with no or low recent knowledge about Horizon Europe gain an understanding of the opportunities it offers, and the basics about how to explore these opportunities further for yourself.<\/p>\n

10. NEW:\u00a0European Research Council 2026 Work Programme adopted:\u00a0<\/b>https:\/\/erc.europa.eu\/news-events\/news\/erc-work-programme-2026-adopted<\/a><\/b><\/p>\n

The 2026 Work Programme confirms a number of key changes recently set out by the ERC. This includes a change of structure to ERC applications, which will now consist of a concise five-page Part I outlining the scientific idea and objectives, and a more detailed Part II focused on implementation and methodology. Feasibility will now only be assessed at Step 2 of evaluation.<\/span><\/p>\n
