This programme aims to strengthen collaboration between UK and Ukrainian universities planning to submit proposals to Horizon Europe 2026 and 2027 Work Programmes call topics. The webinar will include two short addresses from the UK National Contact Points for WIDERA and for cross-cutting aspects in Horizon Europe, Ludovica Grossi (UKRO) and Perry Guess (InnovateUK).\u00a0Register by 15 October.<\/b><\/p>\n

4. REMINDER:\u00a0Horizon Europe Pump Priming Grants to Support Collaboration Between UK and EU Partners:\u00a0<\/b>https:\/\/www.thebritishacademy.ac.uk\/funding\/schemes\/Horizon-Europe-Pump-Priming-Collaboration-between-UK-and-EU-Partners\/<\/a><\/p>\n

This Horizon Europe Pump Priming Collaboration Between UK and EU Partners opportunity provides pump-priming funding to seed collaborations between researchers in the UK and EU\/Associated Countries in preparation for specific Horizon Europe topics in\u00a0Pillar 2<\/b>: Global Challenges and European Industrial Competitiveness. Proposals are welcome in all disciplines, including engineering, natural sciences, medical and health sciences, humanities, and social sciences. Eligible calls and topics may target any type of action and focus on any cluster in Pillar 2 or the EU Missions and New European Bauhaus Facility calls. Awards are up to \u00a310,000 that will cover collaboration preparation activities to enable multinational consortium building, as well as costs for developing the project ideas and gaining a better understanding of the market opportunities, including travel, proposal writing support, research assistance etc. \u2013 see page 6 of\u00a0guidance notes<\/a>. Within Pillar 2, applications for this pump priming funding can be used for is the Calls and Topics from the 2025 and draft 2026-27 Work Programme, that close no earlier than 1 January 2026 (see draft topics attached and note below<\/u><\/b>).\u00a0If you are planning to apply to an eligible call<\/b>, either lead or partner,\u00a0we strongly encourage you to apply for this funding<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n
