Arrow Innovation Support funded project<\/b><\/p>\n

Title: Supporting Women to Increase their Financial Wellbeing via Behavioural Finance and Financial Psychology<\/b><\/p>\n

Darren Duxbury<\/a>, Professor of Finance at Newcastle University Business School with expertise in behavioural finance, acted as academic supervisor on this recently completed Arrow funded project working with Aspire Wellbeing Co and\u00a0Sarah McCalden<\/a>: Finance, Mindset, Wellbeing and Growth.<\/p>\n

Drawing on Professor Duxbury\u2019s academic expertise and insights, including from his own research, the project explored what really drives women\u2019s financial behaviour, and what helps create lasting financial wellbeing.<\/p>\n

Speaking about her experience of the project and what it means for her and her business, Sarah says \u201c\u2026it\u2019s been brilliant\u201d, \u201c\u2026 the depth and quality of the data are outstanding\u201d.<\/p>\n

She is grateful for the \u201cevidence-based, academic foundation\u201d as it \u201cgives me a solid foundation to innovate further inside my business, developing new ways to help women understand their financial behaviour, make better and more informed decisions, and create lasting change\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat really struck me today is how many different factors influence the way we manage \u2014 or don’t manage \u2014 our finances, often without us realising.\u201d \u201cThere\u2019s so much more to explore, and I can already see how this will shape what\u2019s next in my work.\u201d<\/p>\n
