The RSE team are hosting a\u00a0Discovery Day\u00a0<\/strong>next month<\/strong>, and we would be very grateful if you could share the event details with your researchers or anyone who may be interested in attending.<\/span><\/p>\n

Discover\u00a0how\u00a0digital technology\u00a0can enhance your research<\/span><\/p>\n

Are you looking for a new angle for your research?\u00a0Do you need to develop custom software, analyse data, or build a\u00a0website\u00a0as part of\u00a0your research?\u00a0Could your research be improved by AI or other machine learning techniques?\u00a0Are you using all the resources\u00a0the university has to help you?<\/span><\/p>\n

Newcastle\u00a0University\u2019s\u00a0Research Software Engineering team (RSE) is hosting a\u00a0Discovery Day\u00a0filled with talks, project\u00a0showcases, and the opportunity to bring together researchers, RSEs and other professional\u00a0services\u00a0staff.<\/span><\/p>\n

Join us if you are curious about what the RSE team is and what we do,\u00a0if you want to know more about the range of services that are available to help you develop your research proposal,\u00a0or\u00a0if you have an idea that might benefit from a digital angle or custom software development.\u00a0There will be talks by\u00a0RSEs,\u00a0Library Research Services, and the Research Funding Development\u00a0team,\u00a0lightning talks\u00a0about\u00a0previous\u00a0projects\u00a0with RSE involvement from a range of subjects\u00a0and\u00a0a\u00a0catered\u00a0networking lunch during which you can and talk to us directly about your research ideas.<\/span><\/p>\n

The event is\u00a0free. Everyone is\u00a0welcome but\u00a0register early\u00a0to guarantee\u00a0access to\u00a0lunch.<\/span><\/p>\n
