The full economic cost (FEC) of your project can be up to \u00a3950,000. NERC will fund 80% of the FEC. There is no defined project duration, but awards are usually between three and four years.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div class=\"x_elementToProof\"><b>Changes to scheme from 2026:<\/b><\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>NERC has removed demand management restrictions on a trial basis for this funding opportunity<\/li>\n<li>The NERC PtF scheme is now an &#8216;always open&#8217; funding opportunity. It no longer has specific deadlines for applications<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div class=\"x_elementToProof\"><b>Newcastle University Application Support Process<\/b><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div class=\"x_elementToProof\">In its communications to research organizations, NERC has strongly encouraged to maintain internal prioritization and quality assurance processes to ensure applications are competitive. Following discussion at recent NERC Panel meetings and with the Faculty Dean of Research and Innovation, it has been agreed that Newcastle University will continue to coordinate its full NERC Application Support Process. This is to help applicants maximize their chances of funding success, by obtaining the valuable feedback and support that our NERC community can offer.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div class=\"x_elementToProof\">The NERC Application Support Process and Panel will continue to review applications for future submission to NERC.
