Dr Dimitry Jacob has recently been awarded \u00a33,820.02 by the Faculty Research Fund Panel of the Faculty Research and Innovation Committee for his project;The work of lobbyists: evidence of business lobbying strategies from the European Union.<\/em><\/p>\n Project Overview: \u00a0Lobbying is a vital attribute of the corporate behaviour aimed at shaping public policy. Yet, it remains\u00a0under-researched in business literature due to the secrecy and stigma surrounding the world of lobbyism.\u00a0This project will examine the work of European lobbyists within the context of EU institutions, e.g. how Brussels-based trade associations (TAs) promote interests of their member companies at the level of EU Parliament, Commission and Council. This case of lobbying work examines\u00a0the new\u00a0post-electoral cycle against the\u00a0backdrop of the recent elections to the European Parliament and appointments of the new Commissioners.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
