Missing the UCAS deadline

UCAS Deadline Day is coming, and many people may have already hit submit on their application! But what actually happens if you miss the deadline?

If you submit your application after 6pm on January 15th, most universities and colleges will still look at your application if they have vacancies left, but an offer can’t be guaranteed. And for super-competitive courses like Dentistry and Medicine, late applications are likely to not be considered at all!

It’s also worth noting that for some art and design courses, deadline day might not be until the 24th March! More information on key dates can be found here.

So although late applications can technically be sent up until 6pm on 30th June, we wouldn’t recommend taking a risk with your future. Anyway, who wants to be worrying about sending off their application when their friends have already started to hear back from their top choices?!

And with deadline day just around the corner for the majority of you, you may be thinking “What now?“. Check out our next webinar on Friday 16th January from 4pm to get your questions answered! Get your questions in early by tweeting using #NCLanswers.
