2. Battle of the Burger

Battle of the Burger returns to Wylam Brewery on the 14th and 15th of April for a 2 day battle! This is the best opportunity for you to try the burger delicacy’s of the city for a pocket friendly price of £3. This is a free event so there’s no reason why you shouldn’t attend!

3. Saltholme Nature Reserve

Give it a Go are offering you a chance to explore more of the North East this month with a visit to Saltholme Nature Reserve in Stockton-on-Tees. Explore the state of the art building and the panoramic views it has to offer of the wetlands. If it’s wildlife your after the viewing hides and visitor centre allow you to get up close and personal with the wildlife. This event takes place on 30th April, meeting outside the Hatton Gallery for 10:30am.

This is the perfect opportunity for you to come along and find out what Newcastle has to offer, as well as getting the opportunity to speak to current MBA students and course directors.

Ever wondered why we all love chocolate so much? Head down to the Life Science Centre to discover the science behind chocolate in their special workshops taking place 14th- 17th April.

The best part of all is that the workshop is included in your admission ticket to the Centre but availability is on a first-come, first-served basis.

Irish Pop/Rock music band Taken are going to be performing live in Venue at the Students’ Union on Friday 14th April. Tickets are only £10 so there’s really no excuse…

9. The Newcastle Rum Festival

Newcastle’s first ever rum festival is coming to town on 28th and 29th of April. You will get the opportunity to learn about the history of rum from famous bloggers, whilst sampling lots of street food and dancing away to steel drums. This event is taking place in Hoult’s Yard and tickets start at £8.55!

10. Canada REConnected

Two of Canada’s foremost artists present a compelling programme of contemporary repertoire by Canadian and international composers that features percussion as its prominent voice. This event is free to attend and will take place in King’s Hall on Thursday 27th April at 1.10pm.
