Our tree is up, the lights are shining brightly and we’ve even been treated to a sprinkling of snow on campus! The countdown to Christmas has officially begun and, for those of you lucky enough to be spending it in our sparkling city, we’ve hand-picked some of the merriest events in town you won’t want to miss at this most wonderful time of the year.

Grainger Christmas Night Market

Back by popular demand and for one night only, Grainger Market will be keeping its doors open late and hosting an eclectic evening of first-class festivities. Browse the market’s illuminated isles for bargains whilst delighting in the bustling atmosphere, complete with street food stalls, free live music and delicious taster samples from an array of local businesses.

Enchanted Parks, Saltwell Park, Gateshead

See Saltwell Park transformed into a magical and mythical wonderland at this year’s Enchanted Parks event.
