As part of the North East Horror Film Festival the 1960’s Italian horror film Black Sunday is being shown on Sunday 25th June at 7pm.

4. The Rise Up Bootcamp

The Rise Up bootcamp is taking place this summer and it will be an intensive weekend of idea generation, team working and business development. In the bootcamp you will have 72 hours to generate an idea, test your idea and then present them to a panel of experts.

You will get the chance to network with professional experts and innovators and the winning team will receive a prize package and follow on support.

This event is taking place 16-18th June 2017 and it’s free to all Newcastle University students and eligible graduates.

5. Quayside Seaside

Although it’s been open for a few months now, June is the perfect time to visit the Quayside Seaside as the weather picks up for summer.

Whether you’re celebrating the end of exams, looking to make the most of the summer sun or heading down for some handmade tacos from Barrio Comida, the Quayside has got it all.

6. Newcastle Foodies Festival

For the first time ever the Foodies Festival is coming to Newcastle! Set to be a action packed weekend there will be opportunities to watch Michelin star chefs and Master Chef winners cook their favourite recipes. There will also be a large selection of food stalls for you to try lots of new exciting dishes including street food, signature dishes from famous restaurants and cocktail masterclasses.

This event is taking place in Exhibition Park 2 June- 4 June 2017 and tickets only cost £14 for a whole day of action packed foodie fun.

7. South Tyneside Festival

The South Tyneside Festival is back again and this year it’s bigger and better with performances from Busted, KT Tunstall and Louisa Johnson.

This event setting is particularly spectacular as performances are given in the beautiful Bent’s Park in South Shields which boasts spectacular views of golden-sand beaches and soaring cliffs.

8. Undergraduate Open Day

Our first Undergraduate open days of 2017 are taking place on 30 June and 1 July. This is the perfect opportunity for anyone who is interested in studying with us as you can check out our campus and find out more about the courses we offer!

It’s going to be a great day with events and talks happening all over, from accommodation tours to grabbing goodies from our subject stands. We’ll even have a Snapchat filter hunt running if you’re up for a challenge…

10. The Hoppings Fun Fair 2017

The world’s biggest travelling fun fair is returning to Newcastle this summer. With over 300 rides, stalls and attractions this is something you won’t want to miss!
