What happens if you miss deadline day?

Missed the UCAS deadline? Don’t fear! Here are five options for you.

1. Make a late application

The final UCAS deadline for late applications with course choices is June 30th, so you can still apply for many courses after the main deadline has passed. However, UCAS recommends that you contact universities directly to ask whether they have any vacancies before applying. To contact Newcastle University, please contact our Student Services on  +44 (0) 191 208 3333 or fill in an enquiry form.

2. Go on a gap year!

Whether you want to go travelling, volunteer or learn a new language, gap years are a great way to gain skills and experiences that can enhance your CV or higher education application.

3. Wait until Clearing

Wait till clearing opens in July to find vacancies on courses that you’re interested in.

4. Gain some work experience

Gain some work experience in a field related to the degree you’re interested in or try something completely new and get paid for it!

5. Find yourself!

Take 365 days off studying to focus on what you want to do next.
