  • writing a personal statement

This event is split into three parts:

10th March – a 30 minute presentation about applying to Newcastle University will go live on this page

By 14th March – ask us any questions by sending them to pgevents@ncl.ac.uk

15th March at 1pm – our students will answer your questions in a live Q&A session

Try to watch the video below and send us your questions by 14th March:

This video is split into two parts. In the first half Karen Parkhouse, one of our Careers Advisors, explains how to write a winning personal statement. In the second half Danielle Carr, from the PG Admissions Team, shows you how to use the online application portal. Please skip to 14:14 if you only wish to watch the second part of the video.

We will answer your questions in a live Q&A:

It will go live on 15.03 at 1pm.

We have over 300 courses on offer at Newcastle University and so we can’t guarantee that there will be a student from your chosen course at this event. However, students from a range of taught and research degrees will be available to share their experiences about life as a postgraduate student.
