Email signatures and out-of-office messages

There have been recent changes made to the Business School email signatures to reflect the School’s Athena Swan bronze award, and staff will need to update these manually.

To change your email signature in Outlook:

  • Open a new mail message
  • Select Signature from the ‘Message’ tab
  • Under Select signature to edit, choose New, and in the New Signature dialog box, type a name for the signature
  • Under Edit signature, copy and paste the following, (if you are an academic member of staff please include your office hours)

When you are out-of-office or on annual leave, please set up an automatic response to emails. Below is the suggested template:

Thank you for your email.

I am out of the office until (INSERT DATE) with no access/intermittent access (DELETE AS APPROPRIATE) to emails. I will respond to emails on my return.
