Celebrating Success: Dr Stefanie Reissner

Congratulations to Stefanie on her recent Keynote speech at the 9th Research Conference of the European Mentoring and Coaching Council (EMCC), hosted at Oxford Brookes. The title was ‘Qualitative Interviewing, Researcher Reflexivity and Conversational Space’, deriving from my 2018 paper published in the European Management Review.

The keynote focused on a visual tool, called ‘conversational space maps’. Conversational space maps show the verbal interaction between researcher and research participants based on turns of talk. They help researchers identify interactional challenges, reflect on their preferred patterns of interaction and develop their interviewing practice further.
