UKRI ESRC Local Research Partnerships Survey

The ESRC is currently reviewing local research partnerships between local policy stakeholders (e,g, local authorities, local enterprise partnerships, combined authorities, and regional bodies) and the researchers and research institutions in their area. If you have experience of this, please consider completing their short survey outlined below, which includes the option to be consulted further in the reviewing process. This work will inform ESRC’s approach to supporting locally focussed research and innovation activity over the next 3 years.

UKRI ESRC, the UK social science research funder, has commissioned Metro Dynamics to carry out a review of local research partnerships between local policy stakeholders (e,g, local authorities, local enterprise partnerships, combined authorities, and regional bodies) and the researchers and research institutions in their area.

The purpose of this work is to understand what makes these partnerships successful and the challenges faced in collaborating locally. This work will inform ESRC’s approach to supporting locally focussed research and innovation activity over the next 3 years.

As part of this project, we are inviting researchers and policy stakeholders with experience of local research and policy collaboration to contribute via this short survey, which should take approximately 10-15 minutes. The survey will collect your views on:

·         How to strengthen the translation of research and evidence into policy

·         Strengths and challenges of any existing partnerships you may have

·         Potential for future research partnerships that you or your organisation might partake in

Please use this link to access the survey: https://form.typeform.com/to/Q4OZqATX

Your responses to this survey will be kept securely to be used solely for the purposes of this project. They will be treated as confidential and individual responses will not be published or reproduced.

We would be grateful if you could complete this survey no later than midnight on Sunday 6th February.
