Engagement and Place Fund

The engagement and place fund is now open for the 2022/23 academic year.

There are two tiers of Engagement and Place Funding available they are:

Tier One Funding

  • Applicants can apply for up to £500
  • This tier is aimed at colleagues that are starting their Engagement and Place journey with a partner or organisation and need a small amount of funding to progress their relationship
  • Tier one funding is open throughout the year or until all funds are allocated. The panel will aim to respond within 10 working days.

Tier Two Funding

  • Applicants can apply for up to £2,500
  • This fund is to support colleagues who wish to expand existing activity or develop small-scale pilots with a partner
  • Tier two funding has four deadlines Friday 30th September 2022, Friday 13th January 2023, Friday 17th March 2023 and Friday 19th May 2023. The panel will aim to respond within one month of the deadline.

Please contact the research team at nubsdirectorofresearch@ncl.ac.uk prior to the submission of any application for internal funding – this enables us to check your costs and ensure they are compliant with university policies on spend, and also helps to ensure projects are adequately costed, avoiding potential shortfalls.
