Ordering/requesting merchandise – change to process

There has been a change to the way we provide merchandise. If Marketing is supporting with merchandise, we need adequate lead time to be able to fulfil the request.

1. Small ad hoc requests

Small requests for common items such as notepads and pens can typically be covered by the Engagement, Recruitment and Marketing (ERM) Team.

Please send small merchandise requests to Debbie.Dixon@newcastle.ac.uk and/or Ingrid.FairfaxMcMaster@newcastle.ac.uk. They will advise what is available and collate merchandise for collection.

2. Academic or teaching requests

Requests for merchandise for programmes or whole cohorts should be led by DPDs and aligned to their relevant budgets.

Please note, the Marketing Team can support with:

  • A list of approved suppliers to request quotes from
  • Providing brand assets (eg logos)
  • Guidance on look and feel and considerations (eg using sustainable materials)
  • Signing off / approving merchandise before print

3. External engagement merchandise (eg gifts for those supporting events, doing student lectures, academic events with an external audience etc)

These can be provided by the ERM team. Please email external.engagement@newcastle.ac.uk to request a suitable gift and the team will advise what is available
